SMP Talenta Bandung Launches a New Organization: English Ambassadors

SMP Talenta Bandung proudly introduces a new student organization under the guidance of OSIS, the English Ambassadors.

What is an English Ambassador?
The English Ambassadors is a student organization where selected members promote the use and learning of the English language within the school community. Their mission is to inspire enthusiasm for English and support their peers in improving their speaking skills and confidence.

Ten talented and confident students have been chosen as the first generation of English Ambassadors. These students are good at English and are eager to motivate their classmates to speak and learn the language more actively.

One of the ongoing programs by the English Ambassadors takes place every Monday for 30 minutes. During this session, they lead other students to play interactive games and communicate using English. The response has been overwhelmingly positive. Students from grades 7, 8, and 9 have shown great enthusiasm and enjoyment while learning English through fun activities.

The organization’s first major event was held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in celebration of Language Month at SMP Talenta. The event, titled “English Warriors,” was an English quiz competition between grades 7, 8, and 9. The English Ambassadors hosted the event entirely in English, encouraging all participants to use the language throughout the competition.

Adding to the excitement, the event was attended by native speakers from Teach Cast. Jeanna, Kyle, Kelly, and Jessica, who helped present questions during the final round. A special Talk Show was also held, where the native speakers shared insights about the differences between teenage life in America and Indonesia. Students who asked thoughtful questions received fun prizes as rewards.

To conclude the event, Ms. Jeanna delivered an inspiring message, encouraging students to be more confident and eager to learn English, because it is really helpful for us to be able to speak English.

Let’s continue learning and be brave to speak English, because English connects us to the world!
